The original inspiration was my own experiences as a teacher and knowing that students need opportunities to discuss non academic topics with caring adults. I keep coming back because I love the kiddos.
Sitting down to talk with some of the kids that I have known for years during summer camp and listening to them talk through what they're experiencing - they are clearly trying to learn how to live the life they want to live and many of these kids feel like LEAD is a place where they can explore that.
