How has your time at Stiles Hall helped shape you to be the leader you are today?

Stiles Hall has been instrumental in instilling within me a sense of pride and purpose in this work of giving back and paying it forward. The potential that Niyatt, Jonathan, Dave, Itcy, Elaine, and Ms. Linda seen in me pushed me to continuously develop my style of mentorship and leadership–and even brought me back here!

Please share one of your fondest memories of doing work or building connections as a member of the Stiles Hall community?

One of my fondest memories of Stiles Hall has to be the Senior Celebration from my time as a Coordinator. Not only was I able to fully recognize the value of the network I've made with my peers, but the leadership team even created a video of the games, activities, and memories we've made together as a team.

How would you describe the value or importance of Stiles to you and the communities it serves?

Stiles Hall is important simply because there's not many spaces like it. Coming to UC Berkeley was a culture shock even as a Black Bay Area native, and I actively sought out spaces that truly seen, appreciated, and were invested in maintaining the pride I have in the community I come from. At Stiles Hall, they get it and you matter.
