How has your time at Stiles Hall helped shape you to be the leader you are today?

David Starks and Stiles Hall quickly showed me, at the age of 20, the power and importance of caring, connecting and being interested in everyone -- it doesn't matter where you came from or the color of your skin. I have carried this forward ever since.

Please share one of your fondest memories of doing work or building connections as a member of the Stiles Hall community?

"Hearing my daughter Gia, who is currently a Junior at Cal, tell me how much she loved volunteering at Stiles last year brought tears of joy. Full circle! "

How would you describe the value or importance of Stiles to you and the communities it serves?

Watching Stiles grow over the past 30 years…from impacting mainly elementary kids to now impacting high school and college students (many of which are first generation college students), helping them get into college and navigate life in and after college. Stiles Hall is helping fix our many diversity issues by launching driven, thoughtful, caring, smart leaders into the world!
